Monique obtained her Master’s degree from the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture in Gainsville, Florida and her Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Boca Raton, Florida. She started her career in health care as an emergency medical technician and discovered acupuncture while attempting to overcome a genetic blood disorder. Western medicine kept her alive during flares of the disease, but often with too many ill side effects. When Monique tried Acupuncture, she was surprised to find out the effectiveness of the treatments and her perspective changed. The personal experience caused Monique to switch her career focus from Western to Eastern medicine. Monique’s work comes from a deep desire to help her patients overcome physical as well as emotional challenges to improve their health and well-being. Monique’s philosophical approach to treatment includes patient education, lifestyle changes and herbal medicine.  Comfortable within both Western and Eastern medical paradigms, Monique works with Western medical providers to ensure that each patient  receives complete care and has the best opportunity for positive results. She has helped many patients lose weight, quit smoking, overcome addictions and sterility and other modalities. However, her passion is to help others to manage chronic pain caused by Autoimmune diseases or Cancer.
